The Jack Frost staff was made from several pieces of wooden dowels. I joined them with screw bolts and wood glue. I used a wood plane to take away the round shape of the dowels and make them look more like a tree branch. I used some bonds to rough up the shape and hide some of the joints. Once it dried, I used a dremel to carve it to look like bark. I added plaster bandages to the joints for support (after all a child would be carrying this around..needed to make it strong!) and to other areas for added texture.
Jack Frosts sweatshirt was painted by hand using various white and silver paint markers. I placed the sweatshirt on a mannequin so I could make sure I had a solid surface to draw on. For the pants, I just cut them up and added blue and white paint to them to simulate frost.
Katniss was much easier. I built the quiver and arrows. The jacket was made by Neca, I just modified it to fit my daughter better. The bow was made from PVC pipe used by electricians. It was already grey, so I thought it would look like her bow she gets the arena in the first movie
